Know any teens or young adults who have lost weight or who "grew into" their weight?

Nationally known author and registered dietitian, Anne M. Fletcher, seeks teenagers and young adults who would be willing to be involved in a new book (to be published by Houghton Mifflin Co.) on weight management for adolescents. All information will be used anonymously. One goal of the book is to share experiences of young people who have overcome weight problems in sensible ways in order to help other teens who are struggling with weight problems. Another goal is to prevent weight problems from occurring in the first place.

Seeking female/male teenagers and young adults (from age 12 to early 20s) who were once overweight or obese but who have purposely slimmed down to a point at which they feel comfortable. This "comfortable" weight must have been maintained for at least one year.

All participants will be asked to complete an anonymous questionnaire, and many will be interviewed by telephone. Anyone younger than 18 will need to have a parent sign a parental permission form to participate in the book. Those included will receive a free book.
